Our Recruitment Process

Joining NT&AS is simple and supportive from start to finish. Here’s what to expect when you apply to teach with us:

1. Apply Now

Start by completing our short application form. It only takes a few minutes to tell us about your experience, availability, and what kind of work you’re looking for.

4. Compliance Checks

Following a successful interview, we’ll contact your referees and ensure you have a valid enhanced DBS (we can arrange one for you if needed). We’ll also ask for ID and other required documents so you’re fully cleared to work with young people.

2. We’ll Be in Touch

Our Recruitment Manager, Caroline, will confirm we’ve received your application.
Once we have all the information we need, your details will be passed to your local Team Manager so we can match you with opportunities in your area.

5. Induction

Before you begin, we’ll walk you through our policies, procedures, and safer working guidance so you feel confident and supported. Our induction makes sure you understand how NT&AS operates — and how we’ll work together to help young people succeed.

3. Interview

If your application is successful, we’ll contact you to arrange an introductory interview. This is your chance to tell us more about your skills and experience — and to ask any questions you might have about how we work at NT&AS.

6. We’ve Found a Match!

Getting the right teacher for the right young person is what we do best. Once we’ve found your perfect match, we’ll support you through your first sessions, provide access to subject coordinators, and make sure you have everything you need to thrive.
