Induction and planning

The NT&AS Team Manager will arrange an initial discussion with the parents and young person to discuss how the learning objectives outlined in the referral can be best facilitated.

NT&AS will provide an opportunity for the child/young person and family to talk about their needs and how they think they can be met. The child/young person is always encouraged to lead the discussions.

NT&AS ensures everyone has an understanding of the specific needs of the young person. The individual young person’s experience of their special educational needs or personal circumstances and the particular barriers to learning they present.

The Team Manager will explain how the organisation works and what the family can expect from the service and prepare the family and young person for a positive one to one teaching and learning experience.

NT&AS has been successfully providing a specialist teaching and inclusion service for over 25 years. The organisation provides a bespoke curriculum to young people who are having difficulty accessing education due to complex educational, social and mental health needs and disabilities.
